Working smarter
Geoffrey’s web presence needed an update, so we worked together to reach out much more strongly to his target audience
- We created a new website
- Got Geoffrey blogging
- Enlivened his business Facebook page and run Facebook advertising campaigns
- Created a LinkedIn business page
- Created a Mail Chimp mailing list and regular newsletter
- Charity governance consultancy could easily be rather dry terrain! Undaunted, we created some quizzes, including Good Trusteee / Bad Trustee – The Quiz! , which have now been completed nearly 200 times
- And all at a manageable and practical pace

Getting to the top of Google
We’ve put a lot of attention into crafting Geoffrey’s blog – including using some sensible techniques for SEO. (SEO is Search Engine Optimisation, ie getting to the top of Google.)
But! The main SEO technique we’ve applied has just been to create a body of engaging content which really speaks to Geoffrey’s audience. Ultimately of course that’s what Google is really looking for.
And in some cases this has got us right to the top of Google’s searches, even for search phrases we hadn’t specifically targeted.
About 50% of the traffic to Geoffrey’s site is coming now through Google, for free. Fabulous.

And it’s Peter Davies at Wise Davies Design who has been doing a great job with the graphic design (the look and feel) of Geoffrey’s site and the web development (the IT side of constructing the site).
